TOMARUZO is a large vehicle crash cushion developed by RMHs specifically for high-risk work zones such as expressways and freeways. When an out-of-control vehicle intrudes into a closed construction area, it absorbs impact energy through controlled deformation, forcing the vehicle to decelerate and stop, thereby creating a crucial "lifesaving buffer zone" for personnel working ahead.
Featuring patented aluminum alloy energy-absorbing material and a modular detachable design, this product combines exceptional interception performance with on-site deployment flexibility. It is an ideal safety barrier for road maintenance, municipal construction, tunnel operations, and emergency rescue scenarios.

Primary Absorption Zone: Patented aluminum alloy material efficiently absorbs impact energy through controlled deformation
Base Shock Absorbers: Equipped with 8 specialized shock absorbers handling impact forces at up to 25° angles
Friction Braking: Rubber base plate creates friction with road surface, assisting in kinetic energy dissipation
Dual-Unit Series Structure: 2 main units connected by high-strength stainless steel tubes forming a wide interception barrier
Rust & Weather Resistant Coating: High-visibility engineering yellow electrostatic spraying for durability and all-weather visibility
Flame Resistant: Aluminum alloy material reduces spark generation upon impact, lowering secondary fire risk
Modular Design: Entire unit can be disassembled into 8 components for easy transport and storage
Quick Assembly: Requires only 2 personnel for on-site assembly or disassembly
Easy Mobility: Rubber wheels at base for easy movement; anti-skid plates ensure stable positioning
✅ Proven Interception Performance
Tested by the Japan Automobile Research Institute (JARI), demonstrating the ability to reduce the stopping distance of a 10-ton truck (at 80 km/h) by nearly 5 meters — reliable and effective.
✅ Patented Material — Safe & Eco-Friendly
Core energy-absorbing components use patented aluminum alloy material, offering triple advantages: efficient energy absorption, flame resistance, and environmental recyclability.
✅ Scientific Energy Dissipation Principle
Utilizes lever principles and momentum transfer mechanisms to quickly lift front wheels and direct kinetic energy downward for efficient friction braking.
✅ Secondary Accident Prevention
Aluminum alloy construction minimizes spark generation upon impact, effectively reducing the risk of post-collision fires and buying crucial time for rescue operations.
✅ Modular Design for Flexible Deployment
Disassembles into 8 parts; 2 people can quickly assemble or disassemble; wheels at base for easy mobility — adaptable to various construction sites.
Deployment Position: Place at the end of the closed lane behind the construction area
Operation Mode: 2 units used together in series
Recommended Accessory: Top can be equipped with an LED guide arrow panel for enhanced all-weather warning
Positioning: Wheels assist with movement; anti-skid plates automatically grip the surface once in position

Q1: What is this thing used for?
A: Simply put, it's designed to stop large vehicles. When construction is happening on highways and a distracted driver veers into the work zone, this device can stop an out-of-control large truck, protecting the workers ahead. This is life-saving equipment.
Q2: What's the difference from regular water barriers or cones?
A: Ordinary barriers are just warnings — trucks crash right through them. This device provides forcible interception, capable of stopping a 10-ton truck head-on, creating a safety zone for workers.
Q3: It weighs over 100kg. How do you move it on-site?
A: It has wheels on the bottom. Two people can easily push it on flat ground. Once in position, the anti-skid plates on the bottom automatically grip the ground so it won't move around.
Q4: Can it be used again after one impact?
A: Depends on the severity. If it's a serious impact, the front energy-absorbing material will crush like a soda can (that's the normal energy absorption process). To ensure safety for the next use, that part needs replacement. Minor bumps usually don't affect it.
Q5: Why not use steel? What's so good about aluminum alloy?
A: Two reasons:
Better energy absorption: Aluminum alloy "crumples" to absorb energy, while steel is too hard and transfers impact force directly to people inside the vehicle.
Safer: Aluminum alloy doesn't create sparks on impact. If there's a fuel leak on site, it won't cause a fire or explosion.
Q6: Do you have test data? How effective is it?
A: Yes. Tested by a professional institution in Japan: A 10-ton truck traveling at 80 km/h reduced its stopping distance by nearly 5 meters after impact. Don't underestimate that 5 meters — it can be the difference between life and death.
Q7: How big is one set? Is transportation convenient?
A: One set consists of two units and can be disassembled into 8 small pieces. It can be transported in a regular van or small truck. When not in use, store it disassembled — it doesn't take up much space.
Q8: How many people are needed for installation?
A: 2 people are enough. It can be assembled in minutes without needing a crane or forklift.
Q9: Can arrow lights be added?
A: Yes. There's a reserved interface on top for adding an LED guide arrow panel, which works better at night or in foggy conditions.
Q10: Is one set enough?
A: For closing one lane, one set (two units connected in series) is sufficient. For closing multiple lanes, multiple sets used side-by-side may be needed. Feel free to consult us for specifics.
